"The Life, The Loves & The Inspirations"

Quick notes:

1. Elaborate stage set up - 12 in all. KTM's steam locomotive was believable
2. Sufficient lighting for photo shooting in most situation.
3. Melissa Saila lived up to Norizan's bitchiness
4. Atilia's vocal cukup melunakkan
5. Liza Hanim was Saloma's reincarnation.... but a bit plump
6. CT Nurhaliza played her stereotyped character... a demure, beautiful and innocent Malay girl. No surprises and no tall order fors her. She just played a character within her comfort zone. Nevertheless its worth crediting her for her maiden role in a theatre.
7. All other supporting characters like the Indian movie director, Sukardi and the Shaw brothers... and aaaaah not forgetting the paparazzissss were all entertaining
8. My only gripe.... why Erwin Gutawa?????????. Can't the local guys do the job?? Are we really really short of high-end talents? It would have been understandable if it was a joint production with Indonesia

The organiser made special arrangement for media photographers to be seated in the first row so as to facilitate photographing. However I opted to shoot from the rear end of the audience seatings.
Equipment used : Canon EOS 20D and EOS 1D Mark2N. Canon EF 300mm f2.8L lens + Canon 1.4x converters mounted on a Manfrotto monopod and Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L lens.

P.Ramlee with Sukardi during their childhood. The young Ramlee was a carefree and mischievious boy and showed keen interest and a passion for music. His dream was to become a star.

P.Ramlee and Junaidah wed

Quote:
Accompanied by his second wife Norizan Ramlee attends a grand reception celebrating their marriage hosted by the Shaw Brothers at which they announce that Ramlee is to direct his own film. This film establishes him as a respected artist and director and his personal life becomes a hot topic for the press and public.

"Kalau you keluar I pun nak keluar" or something to that effect

The paparazzis were the one who tipped P.Ramlee on Norizan's infidelity.
Quote:
To Norizan, Ramlee’s growing prestige contrasts with his lack of responsibility as a husband. This is uncovered by a reporter investigating P. Ramlee’s private life. Pressured by accusations, Ramlee verbally attacks Norizan, creating a rift between them that ends in divorce.

Confrontation which led to separation and eventual divorce

P.Ramlee courting Saloma on a set
Quote:
In a studio music session rehearsal, P.Ramlee, broken hearted over Norizan, is attracted to Saloma. Romantic feelings develop between the two and for the first time P.Ramlee is wooing someone who could bring back the nostalgia of the girl who first became his muse. They marry and begin a new life.
